1. What is Browser-Safe Color Palette / Web-Safe Colors?

They are colours that exist in the computer memory.

2. Is it still relevant in today’s context? Why?

Yes and no.

In the case of yes,brower-safe color palette is relevant for emergency surfing when your computer is confined to hardware failures such as damaged discrete graphic card.(which means that: u can surf the net when your computer still works but cannot take graphic intensive application). In that case, your computer will most likely run on safe mode where only the motherboard memorycache and hard drive are used. the motherboard has a failsafe emergency 256 bit colour onboard for emergencies like surfing. you may not think it is pretty with multipixalation and cannot play your most realistic games, but it is sufficient for surfing websites with browser-safe colour palette/ Web-Safe colours.

however, in the case of no, 256 colour is considered outdated 3 years ago. most operating systems such as windows vista and windows 7 have only true colour(32 or 16 bit). No wonder vista requires at least 1gb ram for application running( but even so it still lags). Also most websites are updated to keep up with true colour memory.

3. What are the common fonts face found on PC & MAC?

They are Arial, Courier, Comic Sans, MS Georgia, Helvetica, Palatino, Times, Trebuchet, Verdana.

4.What is page loading time ?

It is the bandwidth exchange time between the user’s computer and world wide web  to display all information on a website.

4.1. & how it influence your design?

If the loading time of your webpage is slow, you have to reduce the website load time. This will help increase the number of users viewing your webpage. But in order to reduce the loading time, you have to try to avoid using complicated web design or graphic heavy ones.Due to that, you cannot fully transmit your original idea to the viewers and have to trim and remove some part of your design.Hence this is a disadvantage to you and your design.Secondly to further decrease load time, you have to use optimized images.optimized images might spoil picture impact due to low quality formats of the image.

5.Thoughts upon Web Design Process Article.

Hmm..Just read the article about web design process,http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/2007/03/19/web-design-and-worflow-process-comparison/.

Before I read about this,I only thought that web design is something so simple and mundane that you just have to remember html codes etc, implement them into the website and consider the website done. After reading the article,I realised that web design also have  processes that  help different websites create an effective and professional look that can attract viewers.

Mr. Jeremiah Owyang surely have put in effort in finding links to different work process to create a small yet effective process guide for web designers(amateur,professionals)..This guide has simplified the process required in web design and help the readers save time by giving them links to relevant sites.Furthermore, below the links,it gives an idea of what the website is going to show giving viewer a time to decide before entering the site. The linked sites have complete answers in point forms. The sites also give us an idea about the different process that different workplace uses to execute their web design.Webdesigners have a choice to choose and use whatever method they want.Hence through these, they can save time just using Mr. Jeremiah Owyang’s article page and they don’t to waste time finding the revelant sites as his articles included what web designers want.

His post is well organised and readable, his article also emits sincerity through his words, showing that he really want to share his resources of web designing especially at the “Learn more” section. He adds links like ‘top resources site’,’additional resources’,or even ‘understanding web pricing’!ALL FOR THE LOVE OF WEB DESIGN.HERKHERKHERK.
